Earl’s chips enjoyed instant popularity. For over 80 years, from small batches in his mom's kitchen to a remodeled garage to the current state-of-the-art facility, one thing has never changed. Earl Wise, Sr. and the company that bears his name make terrific chips.

Wise makes lots of other snacks, too. In fact, the company changed its name from the Wise Potato Chip Company to Wise Foods, Inc. in 1969 to reflect the wide variety of snacks we sell, like Cheez Doodles, Bravos Tortilla Chips, Wise Popcorn, and many other fun snacks.

A little more history…we were acquired by Borden in 1964, and then in the 1990's Borden and Wise became part of KKR (Kohlberg Kravis Roberts & Co.). In late 2000, Wise Foods, Inc. was purchased by Palladium Equity Partners, a private investment firm founded by operating executives and investment professionals. Throughout our ownership changes, we stayed true to Earl Wise's vision: great snacks made from real stuff and a tireless commitment to our customers.
